The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat

Oliver Sacks

A wonderful book, largely because Oliver Sacks is a wonderful writer. He is a neurologist who wrote up stories of some of the peculiar-seeming behavior that can be caused by brain damage, which gives us insight into how the brain (and mind) actually work. This is kind of old now, and so far as content goes, newer books like Phantoms in the Brain may be better.
